Wednesday 25th Feb

Good day at work. Got lots done and things I have wanted to do for a while which was good. Came home and relaxed. Love that word. Doesn't happen often. Got a phone call from Rex's Mum, who had gotten a phone call from her long lost half brother. Cool hey! he is going to send some photos of Rex's grand father.. looking forward to it.

TUESDAY 24th Feb

LONGGGG day at work, just didn't seem to want to end.. Finally got home and veged on the lounge. Rex put some pizzas in the oven and then i watched biggest loser. I am so addicted to this show (have been since it started 3 years ago), wish i had the will power to do it along with them..Life just ahs a habit of getting in the way sometimes. Will always keep trying!!!

MONDAY 23rd Feb

Long day at work today, came home for an hour before going back for a staff meeting.. Usually I don't mind them but when staff winge about coming, it puts a dampener on it. Of course there were some dramas but I should be getting used to it by now but sadly I'm not. This is the part of the job I don't like. I don't like being the heavy or being the person that makes someone feel bad. I am the kind of person who likes everyone to get along but I am quickly learning that is not always possible even if I do mean well. "You can''t please everyone all of the time". This should be my new motto...
Missed biggest loser because of the staff meeting so watch it on the computer after Rex went to bed. One of my favourites got eliminated which was sad; I cried of course LOL. Spent a little bit of time on facebook too.. it's good catching up with old friends and family.

SUNDAY 22nd Feb

Went to the swap meet in Belmont this morning but it wasn't that great. head for lunch at Lauren's at about 11am. Jacqui, a girl we worked with at Newpark Child Care centre was coming over..She is really sweet and we haven't see her in ages. But i forgot to take a photo of the three of us.. I know, I never forget to take photos... LOL This is a pic from jacqui's wedding last year. Lauren and I made all of the stationary too.

SATURDAY 21st Feb

Went out with Lauren for most of the day today. We went to a fete at a church in Clarkson. It was OK, not much for me but lots of cheap clothes fro Jaiah.. After that we headed to the scrapbook shop in Joondalup. they rang yesterday to say my pages had arrived for the rest of my Project 365. We picked them up and Lauren found soem papers and bits for Jaiah's thankyou's. The Joondalup shops were right there so we had to go and have a look. We found a scrapbook shop and bought a few things but the excitment was when we found an old lolly shop. this place had heaps of the lollies I grew up on.. Of course I had to buy some for myself and Rex.. nostalgia set in LOL.

We had lunch and I got to feed Jaiah her bottle she is so cute and she may be little but she sure does get heavy after a while. When I got home Rex and I went and did a bit of grocery shopping and then reaxed for the rest of the day. Had a lovely day.

FRIDAY 20th Feb

Work work work. that's all I seem to write about but sadly that takes up a lot of my time. I spent some time this evening looking through my albums. it was nice looking back over the years and thinking about what was. I really miss Canberra and I didn't think I would ever say that, but I do. We had some fun times there over the years. I had to laugh when i got to the page about "bucket man". See below. teh weatehr had been soooo hot and this was Rex's answer to cooling off. it was so funny at the time.


The first day we brought Bella home, She was so cute and innocent...NOT ANYMORE LOL. She is definitely a major part of our lives.



The memories of the Canberra fires, which have became a vivid memory especially in the wake of the Victorian fires. Just so sad and so scary. this is a two page spread but i have only photographed one. the photos on the bottom right are the most amazing. from our house we could see Telstar Tower. On this day you could just see it and then it just disappeared in the smoke haze....

Lastly the funny memory we have of the Captain Cook water jet. When we first moved to Canberra in 1996, I was very hestant in driving anywhere, I didn't know the area etc. This one day i had to drop Rex at work in Fhyswick and get myself back to the Belconnen area. Rex said when you get near the water jet turn of the road and this other road will take you straight into Belconnen. Well I freaked out a bit and turned early. i got home ok butevre since I told Rex where I turned off, he has always made the joke "oh we must be near Belconnen" everytime we saw the jet, even if we were miles away from it...

It so nice just to sit back and remanise from time to time..

THURSDAY 19th Feb

Busy day at work, today came home a little early and then went of to the shops for a look around, but really to tired to enjoy it so came home again. I'm not really one for late night shopping, Prefer Saturday's.

WEDNESDAY 18th Feb

Last chance this morning to get things sorted for the liscecne visit. Did a programme and sorted policies the way he wanted them. Visit was this morn and had pretty much everything I needed, just a couple of little things which I sorted out today. Wasn't as bad as I thought but was glad I had done the extra last night because they were a few of the things he wanted. Tried to relax this afternoon but of course I came home to the rent inspection. They say they are going to do something about the mouldy smell in the bathroom cupboard, we'll see hey!

TUESDAY 18th Feb

Started the day off with some housework. We have a rental inspection tomorrow afternoon and not sure what time I will have this arvo or tomorrow morning. Long day at work, shed was put up and we spent most of the day stocking the shed with all of the equipment we have bought for the ASC. This was followed by a longer night at home on the computer. Will be glad when this licence visit is over tomorrow. Rex has been very understanding and has spent time watching TV although I know he is dyeing to get on the computer.

MONDAY

Busy day at work, trying to get everything ready for Wednesday.. Worked on more policies at home and only stopped to eat and watch biggest loser.. Forgot last night and Sunday is the biggest night..

SUNDAY

Really got stuck into the policies for the After school Care. Spent from 7:30am until 2:00pm and then 2:30 til 5:30pm, then 7:30-10:30pm. So tired and have really had enough of policies but sadly i am not finished yet!!! Rex went to visit his friend Fran, she just had a shoulder operation, then he caught up on watching some movies and shows he taped.

He is so sweet, continually bringing me drinks etc while I was working...

SATURDAY.

We got up early and did the shopping etc then we just veged out for the day. I did some work and Rex played on the computer etc. it was nice.

FRIDAY

Such a busssssy day at work. 1 staff member off, 1 went home at lunch time because her son was sick and another sliced open her thumb when she was washing up and I had to send her to the hospital...... SO I had to cook, drop of and pick up kids from school, shop for after school care stuff, be on the floor and basically was not able to get any work done. I am very tired but not sleepy, if that makes sense.

POOR REX. Rex stabbed himself in the finger with a pair of scissors today at work. They couldn't stop the bleeding, so he had to go and see a doctor. They think he cut a capillary. It's OK now but still quite sore. Poor thing...

Spent time with Rex when I got home, Looks like we are going to get a $900 bonus from the government as part of his recession stimulus pack.. COOL, this will definitely come in handy. And basically just veged out spending a little time on the computer and watching TV.

You know what Home is not a house but the love you feel when you come thorugh the front doors, and even though we have a dream of owning our own home, this is just fiine for now because my family is inside.

THURSDAY

The heat is going away YEAH!!! but for how long???? After work today; it was a little better, we had KFC for dinner and then for a lovely walk around the block. It's nice spending time together without phones, TV, Computer etc. Just Us, It's a nice place to be...

WEDNESDAY

Wondering whether it is all worth it... Work that is. I put so much effort into my job only to have people do whatever they want when I am not there. SO FRUSTRATING. Didn't have the best day back at work after a lovely break. Oh Well what can you do....we need money to survive.

Coming home was great. I love coming home to Rex and even though I spat out what a crappy day I had had, as soon as I walked in the door, he just gives me hug and says not to worry. I know it doesn't fix things but it does make me feel better knowing someone is there to listen I love my husband very very much.

TUESDAY

Our Wedding Anniversary..13 years.. Wow has it been that long.. So happy being married to my best friend and soul mate..

10.2.1996

We spent a quiet day at home together, nothing very exciting but also spent a lot of time in front of the TV watching the horrific bushfire news from Victoria.. Just unbelievable and also brought back a lot of memories from the Canberra fires in 2003. So many lives lost, so many left without homes, just to big to fathom.




May God be with all of those involved.....

MONDAY

We got up quite early as Rex wanted to make an early start back to Perth; the car had been making some funny noises and he wanted to get it checked out)

We stopped in town for Breakfast. it was a lovely restaurant/ cafe.. I had eggs on toast and Rex had a ham and cheese toastie YUM!!

Before we left we went via the shop where we saw the quilt cover we liked and decided to buy it. It is going to look gorgeous on our bed..

Bella loves getting in photos LOL; on her terms that is!!

We then headed home via Perth brakes, Repco and Ultra tune... to get the car fixed.

Fotr the afternoon we hung out at home and just relaxed, it was lovely.

SUNDAY

We left the house at 7am and drove slowly south. We stopped at Bunbury but didn't think much of it so were only there for about 15 mins. We continued south and stopped in Busselton.
Our hotel was gorgeous.




afte being able to get into our room early, we headed out for some lunch. a KFC picnic, not very original or romantic but lovely by the water

After lunch we headed for the famous Busselton Jetty. The walk itself is about 2 miles there and back but it didn't seem that long. It was gorgeous out there. The sun wasn't very hot, the breeze was blowing and the colour of the water was just amazing. Blues and green and some of the water was so clear you could see all teh way to the bottom..

Once we had finished the walk we headed back to the hotel, got into our swimmers and headed for the beach. Rex loves the beach and I really miss the water to, but there was no way I was getting in it.. It was freezing.. Rex thought it was great so he stayed out the for a while while I sat oon the beach watching, very relaxing.




After the beach we went into the indoor pool at the hotel and both had a swim. I was showing more and more signs of sunburn as the day went on. It was so relaxing just floating around or sitting in the spa...

By the time we got back to the hotel we were both tired so had a nana nap.. Rex loves his nana naps but I never have one.. but today I thought why not, I was tired.. We slept fro about an hour or so then slowy started getting dressed to go out for dinner. We ate dinner at a restuatrant, at first we thought it was a bar, Rex really wanted a T-bone counter dinner. this place had T-bones so we ate here. It was oK but not as nice as we anticipated.

After dinner we headed for the beach again.. Took some more photos of the jetty...

we then went for a walk down the main street, bought an ice cream; actually it was gelato..nougat flavour. Not something we would normally choose but there wasn't much else left to choose from.

As we looked at the shops, I pointed out a quilt cover and to my surprise Rex said he liked it.. This is not normal LOL

We got back to the hotel, watched a little TV, had a spa together (nearly floated the bathroom with bubbles again LOL) and headed of to bed around 10pm.

Such a lovely day except that I am red all over, so sore too!!!

SATURDAY

We started out early, did some groceries and then I went off to go to Ikea with Lauren and Rex headed to the hospital to visit a friend. we both met up a again at about 5 and cooked dinner and watched the movie "Groundhog" together snuggled on the lounge. Our tastes in movies are very different but we do have some that we both enjoy watching together.

We decided to head for Busselton which is 3 1/2 hours south of Perth. Our anniversary is not until Tuesday but Rex was concerned about the extreme heat we are expecting so wanted to leave on Sunday instead. So Saturday night we discussed accommodation and where we would stop along the way LOL... Rex hates stopping along the way.

FRIDAY

Just a little behind and really need to keep this up to date.. Friday was very busy at work. Am having Monday and Tuesday off, so needed to have everything ready for the new week. after starting and 8 finally got home just after 5. Not to long a day compared to some I have been doing but was very tired by the end of it. Rex was so glad to be home too. 4 days off WOHOO!!!!

Once we were both home we just hung out together and talked about where we would like to go over the weekend for a little holiday, it's nice just chatting with my husband.

Tired So VeryTired

Not as busy today but lots of running around with work. Glad to come home, Didn't feel like cooking so had a treat ,KFC for dinner. Just relaxed watching TV and talking to friends on facebook. lots sent messages in regards to my 25 random things about me, which was nice. Just realised that Jennie truns 50 in December, can't believe it........ WOW

25 random things about me

Busy day at work today. Sorted dome things about the new After school care and had an in service tonight on hygiene. Came hoe and watched the biggest loser. When I got on the computer my cousin Claire had tagged me in this 25 random things about me.. A bit tricky but I got there. Bella is sitting across my shoulder now as I type, not easy to do because she won't move her tale out of the way LOL. Love this cat!!!

1. I love my husband dearly, he is my best friend and my soul mate; even though we stress each other out sometimes LOL

2. Isabella is my surrogate child.

3. I have struggled with infertility for many years and even though I have come to terms with it for the most sometimes it still hurts.

4. I love the career I have chosen. Ever since I was a child I have wanted to be a teacher and even though I am not a teacher in the sense of the word, I do still teach and educate young minds and I love it.

5. When I was about 27/28 I came to the realisation that maybe I was put on this earth to care for other peoples children rather than bringing a child into the world myself.

6.We moved across the country in 2005 in search of a dream. That dream has not yet come to pass.

7. I have never broken a bone but have sprained my right ankle 4 times.

8. My biggest love outside of my family is scrapbooking and photography. If I'm not at work or with Rex, I am usually in my study creating.

9. I cry at everything. Doesn't matter what it is. It drives Rex crazy and my extended family just laugh, but this is the true me. I cry when someone or something is sad, I cry when someone or something is happy, I am just a big cry baby.

10. I need to be thicker skinned and try not to please everyone all of the time, because you know what, most of the time it is just not possible. I say this but don't really know if I can change. I am who I am.

11. I am very religious although many people don't know this about me. I do not preach to others but have a very firm belief in God.

12. I love to watch and play most sports.

13. I participated in little athletics from about 3 years old until I was 15 and still hold the under 5's 400m record at my old club in Sydney. SHHH don't tell anyone but thta;s because they don't make the under 5's run that far anymore LOL.

14. I loved school. Had a great time. My grades weren't great but I had some awesome friends that I will never forget and who stay apart of me even today.

15. I do not like to be cold or Hot. this is why I loved moving away from QLD and the ACT.

16. I struggled with my weight since I was very little. Always bigger than eveyrone else. My nickname in primary school was FATS and in high school was WOBBLE, and these came from my friends. It wasn't until I was 27 that I discovered I had a thyroid disease that has been with me all of my life.

17. I do not insist that all of my weight problems are due to this disease. I eat when I am bored!

18. I have very strange tastes in food. I love chocolate but do not like anything chocolaty e.g milkshakes, ice cream etc. I do not like strawberries but love evrything strawberry floavoured. The best desert ever is melted vanilla ice cream with salt and vinegar chips for dipping. It is awesome but hey I haven't had this for ages, mmmmmm yum.

19. My most precious belongings are my rings (engagement, wedding and eternity) and my scrapbooks.

20. My childhood wasn't great but I feel it has moulded me into the person that I am today and for that I must be thankful.

21. I love the Anne of Green Gables movies. I wouldn't even go the the school dances if they were on; this and A country Practice of course. LOVED THAT SHOW, actually was addicted to that show.

22. I feel that WA is very backward and it frustrates the hell out of me!!!!

23. I loved my home in Blacktown and still think of it as my true home.

24. I don't know what I would do without Rex by my side.

25. I love my family even though they are across the country, I think about them everyday.

CCMs, who invented this system. I am so over it and everything else to do with work. You know what, I can't do it all. So tired and just want to sleep but again it's to hot. What a day!

Getting tagged in the Blogger world means that I have to jot down 6 interesting things about myself. Not sure if I can but I'll try:

1. I still hold the 400m record for the u5's at my old little athletics club in Sydney.
2. I love eating melted vanilla ice cream (you know like soft serve) with salt and vinegar chips. This is great but no one else likes it. I say don't knock it until you try it LOL.
3. I cry at anything on Tv, well I shouldn't say just TV, movies too. It doesn't matter what it is I cry at it. I cry when someone gets a gold medal at the olympics, I cry when two people finally fall in love at the end of a movie and I cry (a lot) when something sad happens. This has happened all of my life. It's a big joke in my family.
4. I have lived in 3 states and a territory in Australia.
5. I am a hoarder. I don't like to through anything away, just in case one day I will need it. Get this from my Dad.
6. I love F.R.I.E.N.D.S, can watch it over and over and sometimes I just have it in the background when I scrap.

MONDAY-

Went for a walk early this morning, really getting into the Biggest Loser frame of mind.. Maybe this year will be the year to lose the weight.. let's hope!!! Had a very busy day at work, so hot to, but slowly getting a hold on this CCMS system. Still don't like it though but what can you do???
Rex spent most of the day on the forklift and sweated like nothing on earth.YUK. Once home Rex could some pork and we had a lovely salad before relaxing. I watched Biggest loser and Rex played on the computer before both watching Two and a half Men.. Drank 2 1/2 litres of water today, that's a record for me!!

SUNDAY - Happy Birthday Bella (1.1.02)

Happy Birthday my beautiful little girl. Love you so much. It's funny how you came to us out of the blew but the first time I held you I knew we were meant to be together. To others you may just be a cat..but to me you are my family, the child I do not have, the sunshine in my life. You make me laugh and you are there to snuggle me when I feel down. I just can't believe it has been 7 years WOW. Happy birthday Sweetie.

Rex and I did a lot of house work today and the house and gardens look great. Other than that we just veged on the computer or TV or just lying on the lounge. It was nice being together.

The weather is getting disgustingly hot again, 38 degrees today YUK!!!!

Tonight Rex got out the telescope again and found the moon. It was an awesome sight, craters and all.
