What a nice day!

Had a lovely day today. Woke up really early this morning, thanks to a certain pussy cat being the 6 o'clock alarm. Couldn't get back to sleep so played on the computer for a while. When Rex got up we headed in to town to get groceries and to pay the rent. When we got home we headed in different directions; I headed to Lauren's where I got to give Jaiah a bottle; the first time I've been able to do that, then we went to visit Lauren's parents before going shopping. When i got home, I did get a surprise.. Rex had been out to get his hair cut; I did know this was happening, what I didn't expect was a husband with no hair. He had gotten a number 1 comb through his hair.. IT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD, LOL. He always trimmed his beard into a goaty; that doesn't look bad though, I actually quite like it.
this afternoon Rex had a sleep and I headed to the shops to get some new underwear and of course print some photos;the photo area of Big w was very busy today for some reason. When I finally got home, Rex woke a littel while later. We veged out, watched some TV, then sat outside and played cards. Still really hot here but sadly is starting to get muggy; today wwas really bad for that.
I really had a nice day doing a bit here and a bit there and spending time with the people I love..

Friday

Was a busy day at work, got stuff done but not as much as I would have liked.. nothing new there!!! Got home and veged with Rex. Mad Spag Bol for myself for dinner... Rex had stinky crabs YUK!!! but he loves them. Rex got out the telescope and was able to spot a few stars which was very cool.

So Sick Yesterday

Woke up feeling pretty YUCK yesterday. Rang up to say I wasn't coming into work only to find out staff were away again. Dragged myself in to fix everything and finall y got back home at 11ish. Lay on the lounge watching FRIENDS before rolling over and sleeping under the air con for a few hours. Rex came home and we just veged out a6t home, watched a little TV together and then played some cards. Went to bed early. Oh Rex brought home a really cool telescope from work. One of the guys didn't want it. Hope to get some use out of it soon.

Today I felt better but still not a hundred %. Worked all day trying to do the change over of the new system for CCB. DO NOT LIKE THIS NEW SYSTEM AT ALL!!!!! Went for a walk with Rex this arvo, not to hot today YEAH!. Going to have dinner now and maybe play some cards or something..

Getting hot again

The weather is beginning to heat up again. I have really had enough, its time for Autumn I think.. Busy day at work with a few stresses along the way but it was great coming home to Rex. he already had dinner organised.. he's such a good husband. He cooked while I lay on the lounge and chatted with him. Dinner was yummy. I cleaned up before we went for a walk. It is still hot so I think I will head for a cool bath, I love my baths...

Australia Day

We spent a very quiet Australia Day together this year. We went to the movies early and saw Gran Tareno with Clint Eastwood. It was a great movie with a good moral behind it. Definitely worth seeing. When we got home we ate KFC for lunch and watched "Better off dead" on DVD; haven't seen it for a long time. The afternoon just flew by and we didn't reall do muc. Rex had an afternoon nap and I lay on the lounge watching the FRIENDS marathon. I did cook a roast for dinner YUM!!!

Yestrerday

Had a busy day yesterday. Spent the morning cleaning the house and finally putting away some of those things that have been sitting in washing baskets since we moved in December. It feels good looking at the kitchen and it is spotless, looking at the bedroom and there are no clothes to put away and no baskets of books sitting on the floor. I love a clean house.
After lunch I went to visit Lauren at the hospital. Jaiah is so cute. Found out early evening that they are coming home tonight. Yeah!
Did some more scrapbooking in the evening and finished Christmas 2008. Not sure if I like it but I decided to just leave it and move onto another page.
About 9 o'clock Rex asked if I would like to go for a drive, so we got in the are and drove around the Swan Valley. It was so nice out and and I could clearly see the southern cross in the sky; evening though it was upside down. When we got home I tried to take a photo but it didn't work, so I have downloaded one for my project 365.

When we got home Rex went onto the computer and I watched some TV. Bella was being very cute on the floor and I couldn't resist taking some pics of her.

Scrapbooking Anyone

Started the day out by going to Big W to print some pghotos. How funny is it that they know me by name now.. We got some groceries and then came home. Then I began scrapbooking , started with Jaiah's page, then made a special gift for Lauren and Brad of Jaiah to take to the hospital. Spent baout an hour or so at teh hospital with Lauren while Rex went to the movies to see Valkyrie. Then tonight I caught up on my Project 365. All organised now.

It's been a long day

Boy has it been a long day. Started early with one of the staff members not coming into work and having to go in early, I had plans to wash BIG RED at home but had to go to the car wash instead to wash her quickly, had to wash her because you could hardly see out of the windscreen because she has been sitting in the garage for so long..She does look very clean though LOL (my boss Allan needed to work van over the long weekend).Then I had to go to the shops before going to work to pick up some groceries. When I finally got to work, I had to reorganise staff and children to cater for the staff memebr being off.
Finally got in the office and with a big sigh started in on all the paper work on piled high. After lunch; not that I had a lunch break, I had to do the groceries for next week, write a new roster, do accounts and the list goes on. Got home after 6 had dinner and then veged out a little watching TV, before going into scrap and write on here. I think it will be an early night.

Didn't get to the hospital today to see Lauren and Jaiah, will go tomorrow.

Rex is watching the movie "Valkirie", not the new one with Tom Cruise but the original he taped of SBS. He is going to see the new one tomorrow while I am at the hospital.

After finally finishing my self study YEAH!!! I headed to the hospital to see Lauren and baby Jaiah. Balloons and all!!!

Born by Caesarean at 8:58am this morning weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces.

Oh What A DAy!!!!

Oh what a day in history today will be.. The very first black American president. I sat glued to the TV this morning before work, listening to his speech. What an amazing speaker.

Yesterday

Forgot to write, as I had a busy afternoon. Am still working ion my Self study for work, hope to have it finished by the end of the week. After work, I went to the shops with Lauren. We had a great time, laughing and mucking around. The biggest joke of the day was the "Brunch Coat". About a year ago I was telling Lauren how my Mum wore a brunch coat. Lauren didn't know what this was, I showed her and she thought it was really funny and said she would never where one.. Anyway, yesterday I was joking with her saying that I was going to buy her a brunch coat for her to wear at the hospital.. Kept saying she would look gorgeous in one. We even took pics of her with the famous brunch coat.. good fun.

When I got home, Rex and I were invited to dinner at our neighbour Joyce's home. Ever since we moved into this complex (originally at #2, now at #3) we have become quite friendly with her and have frequently had meals with her. it's nice to have neighbours you can turn to..

So Very tired

I know this is not unusual for me but today it really hit me bad. I had a staff member resign this morning and then after doing the early shift I had to go back for a staff meeting..

BUT there is nothing better than coming home and snuggling on the lounge with my wonderful husband. I love him so much, he is so supportive. For instance, when I got home today and told him I had to go back for the staff meeting he asked if I was going to get dinner. I told him know that I would have something before I left or when I got home. Two minutes later he was in the kitchen cooking me some dinner.. so sweet.




I took this pick of our feet close together up on the coffee table whilst we were watching TV when I got home. This is a usual occurrence for us except for one thing.. Rex never ever sits with me to watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S but tonight he did. very special for me.....

Project 365 and Friendship

Spent the morning and part pf last night continuing the sewing on my Project 365 pages. It's going really well and am liking the difference it makes. Gives it more of a style to the page, if that makes sense..

Mid morning I went out with my best friend Lauren. Had a lovely day. We started out taking some pics of her belly (really needed to be done since the bub comes on Thursday, last chance) before doing a little shopping at Harbour Town.

We then went to the movies to see "Bride Wars". Good movie. Very emotional at times but then again I usually am during movies LOL.

Forgot to write yesterday OOPs

Sorry forgot to write yesterday. Not so busy thank goodness. Was supposed to take some baby bump pics of Lauren but she didn't feel up to it, so we did the groceries. After that I explored Spotlight and the scrapbook shop. Didn't buy anything for myself; this does not happen often when I go to the scrapbook shop. Found a cute little baby albumn for Lauren. It is actually a kit, pretty cool.

Just veged in the arvo before getting stuck into sewing my project 365 pages; took ages, and I am only half way. Oh well better to get it over and done with now.

Finished my book "the Gift" by Danielle Steele. Really like this book, have read it before but I love re reading books, there is always something you miss..

Heat, Fires and a Hero

What a busy day.. So many things happening at once. Started my self study at work today. had the first Quality area finished quickly and then after I printed it out I lost it all, so then I had to start typing all over again. Thank goodness I had printed it out hey!!!

The weather to day was disgusting, I mean 41.8 degrees, come on.. Fires were burning everywhere across the city., In kings park there was a huge which was deliberately lit and then some in the hills. the smoke was coming towards work and the skies were very "overcast" in colour. It was really the smoke haze. The smell of smoke was very strong to and brought back many memories of the Canberra fires. NOT A GOOD MEMORY. The fires were contained and the smoke began to die down about 3ish this afternoon.

Saw on TV this morning about a plane having an emergency landing in the Hudson river in New York. The plane lost it's engines because in ran into a flock of geese. How amazing is it that he could land without engines flying over Manhatten and then safely land in the water and ensuring all got out safe.. This pilot is really a hero. All survived and he wouldn't leave the plane until he had checked it twice to make sure everyone got off. What an amazing thing to do.

Printed photos at Big W this arvo after paying the rego on Big Red (my car) and then finally home to relax. What a day!!! Let's hope tomorrow is a little less eventful.

Hay Fever YUK!!!

I didn't write yesterday as I had a bad day... Hay Fever, don't you love it!!! NOT. I had it bad in the morning and by lunch time it had all but passed until I got home and it decided to hit with full force again. Ended up in bed by 8:20pm, just couldn't keep my eyes open.

Today on the other hand was much better. Got a lot of work done today and hope to start on my self study tomorrow (for work). Extremely hot again today. I think it got to about 37 or 38 degrees so I had a long cool bath and read my book when I got home. Even though it is a daily ritual to have a bath each night I usually don't have one so early and usually not so cold.. but it was really nice LOL..

Emily (from work) gave me some herbal drops to try today. Supposed to help with stress and leave a calming effect on the body. I think they did just that. May have to look into getting some..

Baby Fever

Busy day for both of us but nice to be home in each others company. one of the girls from work had her baby yesterday. So much baby stuff going on at the moment especially with Lauren's baby due next week. bit hard to deal with at times but I'm coping. Maybe this will be our year. Let's hope...
Just finished the washing up.. it's been sitting there since Sunday. Slackers I know but it's done now. I love it when the kitchen looks so clean and tidy. This will be my photo of the day the clean washing up. that's it for today. Be back soon.

Busy day at work today, left a little early to run some errands for work. Rex was quite shocked to see me home at the same time as him. Poor Rex cut his finger good today. Not very big but looks sore.

Funny thing tonight. i told Rex Bella was still outside. He went looking for her and couldn't fine her; she doesn't answer when she is called either. he came in closed the door and blinds and looked inside for her. No luck.. Opened the blinds again and guess who was waiting to come in with a very stressed look on her face. She couldn't have jumped through the door any faster LOL

Project 365

Thought I would share my first two layouts based on the Project 365 I am participating in. The idea is to take a photo a day for a year. I hope I can keep it up. Am already a little behind with some pics and will have to catch up, but this will give you an idea. This is Week One!!

First ever blog!!!

Wow!! Here goes.. After reading many many blogs, I have decided that this will be a great way for me to stay in touch with family and friends. I will try to come back regularly
